The Baja Peninsula is the third largest peninsula in the world. The place has plenty to offer to tourists and vacationers. Los Cabos or The Capes is one of the most fun loving and happening destinations on tourist guide’s lists. Made up of the party town of Cabo San Lucas, the quiet artsy destination town San Jose del Cabo, and 20 miles of the Corridor connecting the two towns with a myriad of beaches, Los Cabos has everything that you would wish for and has become the ultimate vacation destination. Cabo San Lucas may be known for its all partying but this does not mean that it is only a vacation spot for those who want to drink themselves into oblivion. Though the tequila keeps flowing in this magical land, there are plenty of other fun activities that tourists can indulge in.

Something Different

While most tourists make a beeline to Cabo to enjoy the partying scene as well as the beaches, there are many who wish to wander off the beaten track and do something different with their holiday. Cabo has plenty of alternative fun activities to offer to these select tourists. While you enjoy some quality time by the surf, you can also indulge in some water sports that is trademark Cabo San Lucas. Parasailing, water boarding, paddle boarding, and fishing are just a few options when you are around the water.

Do not worry about buying tickets, the salesman are everywhere for that and they will charge you the highest price imaginable right in the beginning.

ATV Mania

Another popular activity that is much in demand in Cabo San Lucas is the ATV tours. All-Terrain vehicles are a great way to reach parts of Cabo San Lucas which are difficult to access otherwise. There are plenty of touring bodies that rent ATVs out to individuals as well as groups and it can be a lot of fun to go traipsing around Cabo’s desert locales to enjoy the inherent natural beauty of Cabo San Lucas.

If you come to Cabo and do not do one of these tours and just get drunk or just lie around the beach, you are making a big mistake. You are wasting your time and just not being that smart about it.

Cabo is not all about the parties and the beaches, ATV tours will take you into the natural desert habitat of Cabo where you will be able to see rock formations and the natural life in the perfect setting. Add that additional splendid glory to your vacations by taking ATV tours with your loved ones.

There are a couple of outfits that do the ATV tours, one of them is Baja tours. You can make reservations via Google and their website before arriving in Cabo. These tours are not in Cabo, why would they be? Cabo is a city. These tours are along the Pacific Ocean, north of Cabo, and the fun & excitement is unmistakable.

Details

While ATV tours are a spectacular adrenaline rush, Cabo is not just about fun either. There are some basic safety measures that you need to take while renting an ATV. Water will be served on the tours and incredible food afterwards. If you are prone to sun burn, sunscreen is the tour’s best friend. So don’t forget to cover your exposed parts of your body because the sun will burn you and your night and the following 2-3 days will be extravagantly uncomfortable.

ATV centers that loan ATVs and arrange tours will equip you with safety goggles as well as other necessities like protective helmets and a bandana for your face. You can choose between a guided tour that will touch upon all the salient sightseeing spots or just rent one for yourself and take off to do some exploring at your own pace.

Just remember two things: water & sunscreen.

Everybody who likes to party is always on the lookout of the next best party destination! Located just 1,000 miles southeast of San Diego is the newest and most sizzling party destination in the world. Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo, and the Corridor come together to seamlessly create the fabulous and beacon of life, the Los Cabos area. Cabo San Lucas, in particular, gives new meaning to the line, “the night life is the right life!” As the sun begins to set in Los Cabos, the locals as well as the numerous tourists all rise to the occasion and party all through the night.

The day time is devoted to lazing around on the beach or pursuing adventurous activities such as parasailing, ATV tours, or sport fishing to name a few. The night is owned by the famous clubs and club hopping is a natural part of the night scene in Cabo San Lucas. Is it any wonder that this little town has become the number 1 spring break destination all over the world?

As the Clock Ticks

The clock keeps ticking as the sun keeps dipping in Cabo San Lucas. Every second that goes by brings you closer to the hot nightlife in Cabo. Places like Billygan’s Island, Mango Deck, The Office, and Las Palmas are the first few clubs to hit as the night starts. This Mexican Wild Wild West only becomes louder and more fun as the night progresses.

Cabo, being a compact venue, ensures that anyone can easily do some club and bar hopping since all the famous clubs and landmark bars are located within close proximity of each other. You will find plenty of other party lovers, local as well as tourists, who have put their dancing shoes on and are ready to paint the town red in a tequila haze! These are a few must visit clubs and bars in Cabo San Lucas.

You do not have to dance either. If you do not know how to dance, you can still enjoy these places without actually dancing.

Cabo Wabo

Singer and drummer of the famous American band Van Halen, Sammy Hagar took a shine to the delightful town of Cabo San Lucas. His labor of love is the hard rock party club Cabo Wabo. When it comes to partying, a few other party houses are as synonymous to Cabo San Lucas as Cabo Wabo is. The crowd has been coming here in waves ever since the club started and there seems to be no stopping Cabo Wabo. You will easily walk into musicians as well as famous celebrities who are here to simply let their hair down and drink Cabo in. There are plenty of impromptu performances to look forward to as well. Hard rock favorites and cover tunes will keep your body gyrating through the night while the famous Cabo Wabo margaritas will keep your spirits high!

El Squid Roe & the Giggling Marlin

If you are craving for a more tropical atmosphere El Squid Roe is your spot! The Giggling Marlin will probably be the first place to go to because the parties start early here and they set the mood for the rest of the night.

Set the night on fire in Cabo San Lucas!

Cabo San Lucas is the jewel of the Mexican Riviera. This diamond in the rough is known for its scenic beauty, the gorgeous El Arco at Land’s End and some scintillating beach activities for all the adventure junkies out there. Cabo is also the spring break destination of all destinations. The party scene is forever thriving and you will be at a loss for a party to attend and a club to groove in. Other fun activities to partake in at Cabo San Lucas are fishing and golfing. This is the place to be if you want the world’s best. Tourists love the freedom that comes with having options. Even when it comes to accommodation, you can choose between resorts, hotels, private villas, luxury villas, and condos and more.

History of Cabo San Lucas

It is believed that the southern tip of Baja Peninsula which is where Los Cabos is located has been inhabited for about 14,000 years now. The native Mexican tribe that resided at Cabo San Lucas was known as the Pericu. Cabo opened to the American public after a fishing company based in America built a floating platform to facilitate the capture of tuna way back in 1917, in the middle of WWI! This region is known as the Marlin Capital of the World and you will find a large variety of fish to catch here. Look out for the striped marlin that this place is famous for as well as wahoo, tuna, sailfish, and more. The Japanese over fishing tendencies has affected the fishing populations and sizes around here but there is still some magnificent fish to be caught and a joyous adventure to experience.

The Mexican government began consciously making an effort to turn this sleepy fishing town into a tourist paradise lined with ocean front golf courses, resorts, and villas in 1974. Since then, Cabo San Lucas has come a long way to become one of the most preferred holiday destinations in the world.

Party Capital

Tourists rightly believe that there is one other way to spell Cabo San Lucas and that is PARTY! There are plenty of clubs, pubs, and bars in this upscale Latin vacation destination. Sammy Hagar of the famous American band Van Halen saw potential in Cabo San Lucas back in the year 1990. This American rock singer launched one of Cabo San Lucas’s top tourist attractions, a pub named Cabo Wabo Cantina. From the date of its launch till today, the Cabo Wabo Cantina has remained one of the best party places to hang out at and all night hot spot in Cabo.

Travelling in Cabo

You can choose to go bar hopping and club traipsing very easily in Cabo simply because clubs are in close proximity to each other. All you have to do is move your legs. There are plenty of cabs that will take you to and from your accommodations but they are pricey; the local buses are much cheaper. Another fabulous and striking way to travel in Cabo is to rent a scooter and make Cabo your own. Or you can rent a car from a multi-national car renting agency such as Alamo. Take the path less travelled by and enjoy exploring the little nooks and crannies of Cabo San Lucas, you will find plenty of pleasant surprises waiting for you!

Do not settle eating fish tacos along the marina at one of those expensive restaurants. You can walk inland and eat the same food for half the price and actually see a little of Mexico. Wow, those scallop tacos are good.

Cabo San Lucas simply means the Cape of St. Luke. San Jose del Cabo or Cape of St. Joseph and Cabo San Lucas form the Los Cabos area or the Capes. Located at the southern tip of the Baja California Sur, this quaint little town has maintained its old world charm whilst opening its arms wide to welcome tourists from all over the world. Travelling to and fro Cabo San Lucas is very easy and this is another factor that makes it one of the world’s best destination vacation spots. There are a few things that one ought to know if Cabo San Lucas is the next destination to visit on your list.

Weather Stories

If there was one word to describe the weather conditions at Cabo San Lucas, it would have to be “perfect”! Well, at least in the fall and the spring. This region is favored by sunlight and low humidity for around 350 to 360 days of the year. The average temperature comes in at around 78º Fahrenheit throughout the year. This tropical paradise sees rains in the months of July to September but with only 7 to 10 inches of recorded rainfall annually, it does not put a dampener on the spirits of tourists.

Do not be mistaken though, it is hot and humid in the summer though. But your hotel room will have A/C for sure.

The Area

Los Cabos is made of three separate and distinct areas. These are Cabo San Lucas, sister town San Jose del Cabo, and the area joining the two spots known as the Corridor. Cabo San Lucas is located toward the west, with San Jose del Cabo flanking the east. The Corridor is a 20 mile stretch between these two towns and has plenty of fun filled activities to offer tourists too. For example, incredible beaches, awesome hotels, some golden restaurants.

Sightseeing – The Arch

El Arco or the Arch will most likely be seen on t-shirts, touristy souvenirs, and even some bottles of tequila. This is the famous rock formation that exists at the Land’s End where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean. There is plenty of lore surrounding the Arch. It is believed that a small beach appears around the arch every 4 to 7 years such that people can actually walk on the beach right under the arch. This phenomenon has occurred in the past in the years 1989 and 2008. Wow, that is incredible.

Money Matters

If you haven’t changed your money and have a wallet full of dollars in Cabo San Lucas, you don’t have to worry. Most vendors and shop owners will happily accept dollars instead of pesos but you will lose out on the transaction. It is better to operate in pesos. You will have to account for the fact that their exchange rate is different from the legal one though as just mentioned. Of course, you will probably end up with pesos for change which is fine!

Discover cards are generally not accepted in Cabo San Lucas but other credit cards will do. It is best not to carry around too much cash in Cabo or in any American city or North American one for that matter. There are plenty of ATMs so you can withdraw an amount as and when you need it. Do keep in mind that the ATMs dispense money in pesos. Have a safe and fun holiday in Cabo San Lucas!

Cabo San Lucas is known by many names and epithets. Party town, Marlin Capital of the World, golfing paradise, Cozumel of Mexico’s West Coast, and beach goers’ dream destination are just a few ways to greet Cabo San Lucas. The Rocks of Los Arcos dominate the vista of the Sea of Cortez and calls all sea farers to stop for a while to enjoy the best that Cabo has to offer. There is so much to see and do at this tourists’ paradise that you will never fall short of options! There are a few things and places that can be classified as Cabo San Lucas’ best though.

Best Cocktails

The booze is always flowing freely in mystical Cabo. Mexico is world famous as the land of tequila and Cabo does not disappoint. Here, the margarita is the cocktail that reigns supreme. The Waborita at Cabo Wabo Cantina has become famous since it is the most magnificent cocktail in all of Cabo and it certainly merits a sip or two.

Best Sightseeing Options

The El Arco is easily the most preferred and visited sightseeing destination in Cabo San Lucas. The majestic rocks protruding from the Sea of Cortez are awe inspiring with their sheer beauty and elegance. You will find plenty of boat trip options and once in a while the boats sail right through the Land’s End Arch.

Best Partying Scene

Cabo San Lucas has become the “spring break” destination that youngsters are choosing every year. There are many different restaurants, clubs, pubs, and bars to choose from here. Most of these places are located in the downtown and Marina area of Cabo San Lucas which makes club hopping a cinch. El Squid Roe, Hard Rock Café, Cabo Wabo Cantina, and Mandala are the best that Cabo has to offer for the party hungry crowd.

Hard Rock Café is expensive though, more expensive than others. If you want to walk a couple of blocks inland, the price for delicious food drops considerably and the quality remains the same for the most part.

If you want an outstanding burger and a shake, check out Gerry’s Burger which is about 6 blocks inland from the Puerto Paraiso mall.

Best Shopping Sites

Tourists will always find little stores tucked away in the middle of nowhere at Cabo San Lucas. The LaPaloma Boutique is a great place to purchase authentic Mexican cotton casual wear. Custom made jewelry that is unique and intricately executed is the forte of Mina at Hidalgo #33. Stop at Add in Zaragoza for home accessories, handmade candlesticks and picture frames that will make perfect gifts and additions to your home décor.

Best Souvenirs

Any souvenir that has Cabo San Lucas and Cabo Wabo imprinted on it is perfect for gifting people back home. You will find everything from the traditional t-shirts and jerseys to woolen caps and underwear sporting these names. Of course, you cannot go home without taking a few bottles of Cabo Wabo Tequila with you! Made of 100 percent blue agave, this drink is as potent as it is sophisticated and classy. Cabo Chips are also delectable options that scream Cabo San Lucas at you! Profits from purchase of these flavored tortilla chips go toward local charities.

Best Movie Theater (and mall for that matter)

Cinepolis is an outstanding movie theater. It is as nice as anything you are used too. It is in Sereno Mall, on the opposite side of the mall from where Soriano (a huge supermarket) is. The best movie theater in Cabo is not near the huge tourist hotels. Strange but true.

Enjoy a taste of beaches, golf courses, and fishing charters while you are in Cabo San Lucas. It is destined to be an experience that you will not forget anytime soon.

Whether уоu are drіvіng tо Mexico or flyіng thеre, уоu wіll nееd tо hаvе thе рrореr forms оf іdentifiсatіоn. Pісture identifiсatіоn аnd proof of citizеnѕhiр wіll be requіrеd. Tо prove cіtizenshіp, a bіrth certіfісate оr раsѕрort cаn bе uѕеd. Wіthоut thе aррrоprіаtе documents, уоu mау bе dеnіеd еntrу.
Bеfore lеaving fоr Mexico, іt іѕ аdvіѕеd that уоu mаkе multiрlе соріes оf yоur іdentіfіcаtion dосumentѕ. Yоu аrе еnсourаgеd to lеаvе а соpy аt hоme and саrry anоther cору with уоu, іn additiоn tо the orіginаl dоcumеnts. If уоu should have а prоblеm with thе Mеxiсаn authorіtіеs, theѕe dосumеntѕ will сomе іn hаndу.
Out of all of the реорlе thаt tо travеl tо Mexico, most wіll nоt encоuntеr a рrоblеm with аuthоrіtiеѕ. Tо рrеvent a problem from оссurring, yоu аrе enсоurаged tо know аnd underѕtand sоme оf thе laws thаt аre currеntlу іn рlаcе in Mexico. Knоwing аnd аbіdіng bу thеѕе lаwѕ wіll not оnly kееp yоu ѕаfе, but іt wіll mаkе уоur vасation еnjоyаblе.
Aѕ wіth anу соuntrу, Mexico hаs а large numbеr of lаwѕ thаt аrе сurrentlу еnforсеd. Whіlе it mау be іmpoѕsіble for уоu tо еxаmіne еаch аnd еvеrу оnе of theѕe lawѕ, уou аrе еnсouragеd tо famіlіаrіze yourѕelf with thе mоst imроrtant оnеs. Fоr іnstanсe, mаnу іndіvіduаls bеlіеve that chеckіng іn at thе bоarder іs аll thеу hаve tо whеn they arrive in Mexico.
If уou are like mоѕt of thе оthеr indіvіduals whо viѕіt Mexico, уоu аre thеrе оn a vаcatіon. Arrivіng in Mexico by cаr іs dіfferеnt thаn arrіvіng thеre on аn aіrрlаnе. If уou рlan оn drіvіng уourѕеlf аrоund Mexico, you wіll nееd to rеgіѕter уour vehiсlе. Thіѕ can bе donе bу оbtaining а vеhiclе imроrt реrmіt. Cаr оwnеrѕ that do nоt hаvе thе рroрer аррrovаl cаn bе fіned or lоѕе theіr vehісlе.
If уоu аre travеlіng tо Mexico for a busіnеѕs trip, yоu will bе rеquirеd to fіll out а buѕіnеsѕ fоrm. In Mexico, yоu arе nоt аllоwed tо cоnduсt busіnеѕs in the аrеа, withоut fіrѕt mаkіng уоur іntеntіоnѕ knоwn. Busіness trаvelеrs аrе requіred tо fіll out а cоnduсt of buѕіnеsѕ fоrm. If yоu аrе self-еmрloyеd оr work fоr a smаll соmpаnу, you will оftеn bе rеspоnѕiblе fоr thіs рaрerwоrk. If уоu wоrk for а lаrgеr, іnternatіonal соmрanу, the pареrwоrk mау аlreаdy be tаken cаre оf.
Onсе іn Mexico, yоu аre encоurаgеd tо use alсоhоl with сautіоn. Mеxіcan аuthоrіtіеs оftеn аrrеst іndіviduаls that illegаl рurchaѕe alсоhol, саuse а рublic dіѕruptіon, оr drіnk іn аrеаs where alсоhоl is not pеrmitted. In thе United Stаtеs, іllеgаl drіnking асtіvitiеѕ аrе taken ѕerіous, but іt іs nothing соmparеd to Mexico. All рunishments will vаrу, but yоu eаѕilу ѕреnd а number оf months or уеаrs іn јaіl. Thаt іѕ why аll touriѕtѕ аrе encоuraged tо use their beѕt јudgment when аlсоhol іѕ involvеd.
Whіlе іn Mexico, іt іѕ likely thаt you wіll tаkе rіsks. Fоr thаt іs what Mexico іѕ all about. Therе iѕ a diffеrence bеtwеen tаkіng rіѕkѕ аnd brеаking thе lаws. It is alwауs іmpоrtаnt to kеер in mind thаt thе lawѕ іn Mexico vаrу from the lаws іn the Unitеd Stаtеs аnd оthеr сountriеs. In аddіtіоn the lаwѕ, thе wау thеу arе еnforced аnd thе punіѕhment for breaking them vary.
If уоu arе vасаtіoning іn Mexico and уou find yourѕеlf іn а prеdісament with thе Mеxісan аuthorіties, you arе urgеd tо соntaсt уour neаrеѕt еmbаѕsy. If уоu arе frоm thе Unіtеd Stаtеѕ, уоu wіll nееd tо be іn cоntасt wіth thе Unitеd Stаtеѕ Embаssy. Bу соntaсting уour nearеst еmbаѕsу оffiсе, уоu cаn ѕеek аѕѕiѕtance on whаt tо dо nеxt.
Aѕ prеvіоuѕlу mentіоnеd, the bеѕt wау to ѕtaу оut of trоuble іn Mexico is nоt to cauѕe іt. Whеn рartуіng оr раrtісіpаtіng іn othеr activіties, bе sure уоu knоw whаt уou аre dоіng. Whеn іn dоubt, іt іs best tо avoіd any аctіvіtіеѕ thаt maу land уou јаіl. If you аre іnterеѕted in lеаrnіng mоrе аbоut Mexicаn lаwѕ, you сan eaѕіlу do thе resеаrch online.
